One Purple Fish (Available @ Kefi Art Gallery)

CA$475.00
Sold

One Purple Fish was inspired by my early years in Quebec. We would spend the summers in Petite Lac Long and “Go Jump In The Lake” was our motto. It brings back happy memories of jumping off the dock into the cold lake. My recollection was ice cold lake, but I was pretty skinny and young and was always cold. This piece is a 20” x 20” mixed media painting on wood panel with a resin finish. The background is a collage of the newspaper comic strip Sherman’s Lagoon by Jim Toomey. There is One Purple Fish swimming with a school of fish just trying to keep up. The bright aqua green overlay is vibrant and exciting and the resin overlay adds a punch to this piece.
